Week 11 PAC Honors (for events between November 7-13)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 11 of the 2022 season.
 
PAC Offensive Player of the Week
Molayo Irefin • Saint Vincent • Junior wide receiver • Bowie, Md. | Archbishop Spalding
In Saturday’s 36-7 victory over Bethany, Irefin made five receptions for a season-high 146 yards and two touchdowns while adding a six-yard rushing score… It marked his second three-touchdown performance in as many weeks… Irefin's biggest highlight was a 90-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Brady Walker midway through the first quarter… It ranks as the second-longest pass play in program history… Irefin closed the season tied for the PAC lead in total touchdowns (12) while ranking second in the league in receptions (62) and third in receiving yards (732).

Carnegie Mellon senior Kris Hughes (Springboro, Ohio | Springboro) had seven catches for 131 yards and a touchdown at Case Western Reserve… The touchdown reception was the 26th of his career, passing John Prather (25) as the program’s all-time leader… Hughes also moved into third all-time in career receiving yards (1,841)... Case Western Reserve sophomore Noah Coyne (Painesville, Ohio | Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) caught seven passes for 96 yards against Carnegie Mellon… Grove City junior Scott Fraser (Butler, Pa. | Knoch) had six catches for 125 yards and a touchdown against Thiel… He became the third Grove City player to accumulate 1,000 receiving yards in a season… Thiel freshman Jorden Collier (Ypsilanti, Mich. | Lincoln) had a 39-yard touchdown reception at Grove City… It was his third touchdown this season… W&J sophomore Jacob Pugh (Jefferson Hills, Pa. | Thomas Jefferson) totaled four touchdowns at Waynesburg… He completed 15-of-18 pass attempts for 184 yards and three touchdowns through the air and opened the scoring with a 15-yard rushing touchdown early in the first quarter… Waynesburg sophomore Hunter Cameron (Armagh, Pa. | United) rushed eight times for 65 against W&J… Westminster senior Ryan Gomes (Tampa, Fla. | Walter L. Sickles) ran for 103 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries at Geneva… He finished the season as the PAC’s leading rusher with 1,024 yards… Gomes is Westminster’s first 1,000-yard rusher since Dominique McKinley in 2015.       
 
PAC Defensive Player of the Week
Robert Coury • Carnegie Mellon • Junior linebacker • Phillipsburg, N.J. | Phillipsburg
Coury registered a career-high 15 tackles (5 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in Saturday night’s 20-7 victory at Case Western Reserve in the 36th Annual Academic Bowl… He currently ranks second in the league with 17.0 tackles for loss, third with 83 total tackles and fifth with 7.5 sacks… Coury’s 17.0 tackles for loss rank 26th in Division III.

Case Western Reserve graduate student Colin Schuster (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Minooka Community, Ill.) made eight tackles and added three pass breakups against Carnegie Mellon… Grove City senior Nik Grabiec (Newport, Pa. | Newport) returned an interception 27 yards for a touchdown against Thiel… He also had four tackles, helping lead a defensive effort that limited Thiel to 15 rushing yards and 146 total yards… Thiel senior Darnell Jordan (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Westinghouse) made seven tackles at Grove City… W&J sophomore Dawson Dietz (Allison Park, Pa. | Hampton) had nine tackles and a pair of tackles for loss at Waynesburg… He leads the PAC with 21.0 tackles for loss this season… Waynesburg sophomore Brennan Boron (St. Mary’s, W.Va.  | St. Mary’s) had eight tackles and a tackle for loss against W&J… Westminster graduate student Nicholas Treloar (New Castle, Pa. | New Castle) totaled nine tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss at Geneva.
 
PAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Nick Morrow • Grove City • Senior kicker • Moon Township, Pa. | Moon
Morrow was 9-for-9 on extra points and added a 25-yard fourth quarter field goal in Saturday’s 66-6 win over Thiel in the 38th Mercer County Cup game… He currently leads the PAC in scoring with 73 points… Morrow has made 7-of-10 field goals and converted 52-of-55 extra points this season… His 277 points rank 10th on Division III’s active leaders list.
Other notable performers from last week
Carnegie Mellon senior Casey Jaeb (San Jose, Calif. | Bellarmine Prep.) averaged 35.4 yards per punt at Case Western Reserve… He had a long of 49 yards… Thiel senior Donnovan Blue (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Penn Hills) returned five kickoffs for 94 yards at Grove City.
 
PAC Rookie of the Week
Troy Volpatti • Washington & Jefferson • Freshman running back • Bethel Park, Pa. | Bethel Park    
Volpatti carried nine times for 139 yards (15.4 yards/carry) and a touchdown in a 56-0 win over Waynesburg Saturday… He was a key part of a 328-yard rushing effort, the most in a single game for W&J since the 2018 regular season finale at Waynesburg… Volpatti raced 59 yards for a second quarter touchdown in the win.

Case Western Reserve freshman Aaron Filips (Medina, Ohio | Highland) rushed 11 times for 47 yards, including a 3-yard third quarter touchdown, against Carnegie Mellon… He completed 8-of-22 passes for 100 yards… Grove City freshman Ian Demeri (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Penn-Trafford) ran for 51 yards and a second quarter touchdown on seven carries against Thiel… He also made four special teams tackles… Waynesburg freshman Austin Derr (Mifflintown, Pa. | Juniata) had five tackles and a sack against W&J… Westminster freshman Dylan Sleva (Coraopolis, Pa. | Moon) had three tackles, a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery at Geneva.
