The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 1 of the 2026 season.
PAC Offensive Player of the Week
Jake Phillips • Saint Vincent • Senior quarterback • Jeannette, Pa./Hempfield
Phillips led the Bearcats in their 60-6 offensive outburst victory against Hilbert, completing 19-of-25 passes for 303 yards and six touchdowns while also rushing for a TD ... Phillips' six touchdown passes are the second-most in a single game in program history, trailing only Derek Stewart's seven-touchdown performance against Grove City in 2016 ... Five of his scoring passes came in the first half and Phillips added a one-yard TD run just before halftime.

PAC Defensive Player of the Week
Noah Hutcherson • Geneva • Junior defensive back • Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills
Hutcherson led Geneva's defense in Saturday's 21-14 victory over Widener by recording 10 tackles, 3.0 tackles-for-loss, four QB hurries and two pass breakups ... He had two tackles, including one TFL, and one pass break-up inside the 10-yard line, on Widener's final drive ... The defense allowed just seven offensive points in the game while recording five sacks, 11 QB hurries and 11.0 TFLs in a dominating performance in the season-opener ... Hutcherson also helped Geneva limit Widener to 228 total yards and 3-of-16 conversions on third down.

PAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Re'Mir Ratchford • Allegheny • Junior wide receiver/punt returner • Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy
Ratchford returned a punt 48 yards for a touchdown during the second quarter of Allegheny's 28-12 victory at Anderson … It was Allegheny's first punt return for a touchdown since 2019 and gave the Gators a 28-0 lead on the road.

Jackson Ragland • Bethany • Freshman running back/kick returner • Fairburn, Ga./Westlake
Ragland had six kickoff returns in his collegiate debut where he picked up 173 yards, including a long of 79, for an average of 28.83 per return in Bethany's season-opening win ... After Sewanee had scored 21 straight points to get within 27-24 early in the fourth quarter, Ragland's 79-yard return gave Bethany the ball at the Sewanee 14 and the Bison scored two minutes later to extend the lead back to 34-24.

Jake Cummings led Allegheny in receptions (five) and receiving yards (81) and hauled in an exceptional over-the-shoulder catch and run for a 57-yard score on his first collegiate reception in Saturday's win at Anderson ... Cam Bailey led the Bethany defense in their season-opening win over Sewanee with a team-high seven tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and made a game-saving interception in the red zone to preserve the lead, which helped the Bison pull out the win for David Blake in his first game as head coach ... Case Western Reserve's Aaron Filips completed 34-of-43 pass attempts for a 79.1 completion percentage (the sixth-highest in DIII during the weekend), 356 yards (7th in DIII), and four touchdowns in a 38-20 victory at Rochester ... Dayne Johnke recorded career-highs of 11 catches for 161 yards and a 39-yard TD grab in Geneva's 21-14 season-opening victory over Widener, which was the first for first-year head coach Tom Contenta ... In his first collegiate start, Grove City QB Mike Holloman threw for 276 yards and two TDs against Cortland ... Hiram's Joshua Bohurjak made a team-high seven tackles and recorded the Terriers' lone sack in the 33-2 win over Oberlin, the fewest points allowed by a Hiram team since a 20-0 shutout over Allegheny on Sept. 21, 2013 ... Tyrese Madry recorded a 92-yard kickoff return touchdown in the second quarter to get Thiel on the board at Alfred State, the first kick return by a Tomcat since 2024 and the first in a season opener in Thiel history ... W&J's Andrew Sharp powered the Presidents' offense Saturday at Utica with 150 yards rushing on 23 carries ... Waynesburg's Tyler Curry racked up eight tackles to go along with 2.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble on Saturday against Capital ... Westminster's Rocco DiFlorio registered a career-high 12 stops in Thursday night's opener at Marietta.
