(pacathletics.org)--Westminster College clipped Washington & Jefferson College 27-20 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) championship game Friday night at Memorial Field at Harold Burry Stadium. A pair of fourth quarter touchdowns helped Westminster erase a 17-14 deficit and claim its first-ever PAC title. Westminster's defense sacked W&J seven times and forced four turnovers. Westminster (5-0) won despite just 158 yards of total offense in the game. W&J (3-1) finished with 292 yards of total offense. Westminster junior quarterback Cole Konieczka (Coraopolis, Pa. | Moon) finished 12-of-24 passing for 198 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Freshman wide receiver Tylon Eilam (Sharon, Pa. | Sharon) caught four passes for 62 yards. Senior wide receiver Ian Valente (Johnstown, Pa. | Westmont Hilltop) and junior tight end Bryce Sallack (Luthersburg, Pa. | DuBois) each had a touchdown. Sophomore running back Ryan Gomes (Tampa, Fla. | Walter L. Sickles) netted 42 yards rushing on 14 attempts. Junior defensive lineman Brayden Thimons (Natrona Heights, Pa. | Highlands) paced the Westminster defensive with 11 tackles and 4.0 sacks. W&J freshman running back Justin Huss (Derry, Pa. | Derry) rushed 20 times for 107 yards in his first collegiate start. Senior wide receiver Payton Skalos (Cranberry Township, Pa. | Seneca Valley) led all players with highs in catches (8) and receiving yards (98). Junior quarterback Justin Heacock (New Concord, Ohio | John Glenn) finished 24-of-44 passing for 198 yards, throwing one touchdown and three interceptions.
