(pacathletics.org)--Washington & Jefferson College has earned the top seed in this year’s Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament. Seeding for this year's championship tournament was determined and approved by a vote of the league's directors of athletics. W&J secured the top seed in the four-team championship tournament after going 6-0 in league play during the regular season. The Presidents are No. 6 in the most recent NCAA Division III Great Lakes regional ranking. In Wednesday's semifinal round, top-seeded W&J will host No. 4 Franciscan University (2-3) at 7 p.m. at Alexandre Stadium. Second-seeded Chatham University (5-1) will host No. 3 Thiel College (4-2) at 7:30 p.m. at UPMC Graham Field. Saturday's title game will be hosted by the highest-remaining seed following Wednesday's semifinal games. Information regarding this year's championship game will be announced after the completion of the semifinal round. The winner of the PAC Championship Tournament will receive the conference's automatic-qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. The field for this year’s Division III Championship is scheduled to be announced Monday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m. (EDT).
