PAC Offensive Player of the Week James Petrolle • Grove City • Sophomore attack • Damascus, Md. | Damascus Petrolle scored five goals and added three assists Saturday in Grove City's season-opening 20-11 win at Westminster. Other notable performers Sophomore Jacob Visalli (Palm Harbor, Fla. | Calvary Christian) scored four goals and added three assists in Saint Vincent’s win at Franciscan Saturday… All four of Visalli’s goals came in the first half… Westminster sophomore Hamish Mathwin (Marion, Australia | Westminster) totaled five goals Saturday against Grove City. PAC Defensive Player of the Week Grant Evans • Grove City • Junior midfielder/faceoff • Pittsburgh, Pa. | Upper St. Clair Evans won 18-of-21 faceoffs and recorded 19 ground balls in Saturday's season-opening 20-11 victory at Westminster… He also caused one turnover and added three goals for Grove City. Other notable performers Saint Vincent junior Ethan Cavin (Clifton, Va. | James W. Robinson, Jr.) finished with eight ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers Saturday in the Bearcats’ season-opening win at Franciscan. PAC Rookie of the Week Payton Waight • Westminster • First-year attacker • Ithaca, N.Y. | Ithaca Waight totaled a team-high three assists, two ground balls and two caused turnovers against Grove City Saturday afternoon. Other notable performers Franciscan freshman Gavin Cook (Syracuse, N.Y. | Anthony Henninger) scored one goal for the Barons in his collegiate debut… He also grabbed three ground balls… Grove City freshman Jack Carpenter (Newton, Conn. | St. Joseph) had an assist in Saturday’s win at Westminster… He also caused one turnover.
