PAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week (Feb 10, 2014)

PAC Men's Basketball of the Week
Dillon Stith • Senior Forward • Saint Vincent College
Bedford, Va. / Liberty

Stith set Saint Vincent’s single-game scoring record with 50 points in the Bearcats’ 124-121 quadruple overtime loss at Thiel on Feb. 5, breaking the previous record of 47 held by former NAIA All-American and Bearcat all-time leading scorer Tony Washam. His 50-point effort is the highest single-game total in NCAA Division III this season by a player not from Grinnell and also ties him for second on the conference’s all-time, single-game scoring list. His 26 made free throws, the most in Division III this year, and 58 minutes played are also program records. In Saint Vincent’s 68-52 victory at Grove City on Feb. 8, Stith totaled 15 points and 10 rebounds for his conference-leading 13th double-double of the season. He averaged 32.5 points and 14.0 rebounds per game last week while shooting a 45.5 percent (15-of-33) clip from the field and 76.2 percent (32-of-42) from the free throw line.
