Playing in his first tournament of the fall, Izzo captured individual medalist honors at Allegheny College’s Guy W. Kuhn Invitational at Meadville Country Club. He finished just two strokes ahead of Carnegie Mellon’s Ben DuCarme, Allegheny’s Jimmy Lasher and Rochester’s Nick Palladino for the title in the 93-player field. Over the 36-hole tournament Izzo carded a two-over par 146, firing an even-par 72 in the first round, one stroke shy of tying his career-low round of 71, and a 74 in round two. Izzo’s performance helped W&J to a fifth place team finish in the field of 16 competing programs. |
