PAC Football Players of the Week (October 7, 2013)

PAC Offensive Player of the Week
Matt Grimard • Senior Quarterback • Bethany College
Lowell, Mass. / Dracut

Grimard led the Bison to a 24-19 victory over W&J last Saturday evening at Bison Stadium, snapping a 30-game winless streak against the Presidents. He posted 424 yards of total offense (335 passing, 89 rushing) and threw for one score in the win. With his 14-yard completion to sophomore Eric Blinn in the third quarter, Grimard became the first player in Bison history to record 10,000 total career yards. The current  Division III active career leader in total yards (10,038), Grimard leads all Division III counterparts in passing yards (1,682) and is third in total offense per game (370.8) in 2013.

PAC Defensive Player of the Week
Kyle Fuller • Sophomore Defensive Back • Thomas More College
Taylor Mill, Ky. / Holy Cross

Fuller helped anchor a Saints’ defense that posted a 61-0 victory against Geneva last Saturday, marking the program’s third shutout of the season. Thomas More limited the Golden Tornadoes to just 88 yards of total offense. Fuller finished with five tackles (three solo, two assists), two forced fumbles and one interception, which he returned 42 yards for a touchdown. Fuller has returned interceptions for touchdowns in back-to-back weeks.

PAC Special Teams Player of the Week
Anthony Marnejon • Freshman Punter • Grove City College
Columbiana, Ohio / Columbiana

Marnejon averaged 43.0 yards per punt Saturday in the Wolverines’ 24-21 victory over Westminster. With 25 seconds left in the game, he boomed a 49-yard punt that forced Westminster to start at its own 28-yard line. Marnejon totaled seven punts for 301 yards Saturday while establishing the Titans’ starting field position at their own 31-yard line.
