TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - Three Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) football players were chosen for the D3football.com Team of the Week following their outstanding performances last Saturday on the field.
Those recognized were Thiel College freshman wide receiver Isaiah Gladney (Jackson, Ala./Jackson) and two from Washington & Jefferson College, including junior running back Andrew Sharp (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and sophomore defensive lineman Alex Boyce (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette).
This is the third time this year the PAC had players selected for the Team of the Week. The three players is the most for the PAC since five were chosen following week nine in 2025.
This week's PAC Newcomer of the Week, Gladney is the ninth Tomcat ever to earn D3football.com Team of the Week laurels and the first since Donelle Thomas in 2023. Gladney is the first offensive player to earn the distinction since DeShawon Bracy in 2016.
Gladney turned in a career performance Saturday, catching nine passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns (46/40). His 203 receiving yards rank ninth in Thiel history and are the most by a Tomcat since Bracy totaled 216 yards in 2016. In addition, his 203 receiving yards are the most by a PAC player this season, the 12th-highest mark in DIII in 2026 and third-most in DIII last week.
Through four games, Gladney leads the PAC with 371 receiving yards and 24 receptions. Nationally, he ranks 22nd in Division III in receiving yards and is tied for 20th in receptions.
Sharp powered the W&J offense to the program's 800th victory in a 35-7 win over Case Western Reserve, marking the third Division III school and 22nd NCAA institution to reach the 800-win milestone. This week's PAC Offensive Player of the Week, Sharp gained 186 yards and four touchdowns on just 15 carries to head the ground game. He found the end zone three times in the first half (4/43/21) and added a 52-yard TD run in the third quarter. With 341 rushing yards, W&J put together its highest single-game rushing output since the 2022 regular season finale versus Waynesburg.
Through three games, Sharp is second in the PAC with 431 rushing yards and his 143.7 yards per game ranks eighth in the country.
Boyce finished with five tackles, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble in the win at Case Western Reserve to open PAC play. His forced fumble set up the initial scoring drive of the game for W&J inside the CWRU 10-yard line. The W&J defense held CWRU, who came into the game averaging 43 points per game, to just seven points, forced two turnovers, three turnovers on downs, and totaled seven sacks and limited the Spartans to just 3-of-15 on third downs.
Saturday continued a big start to the 2026 season for Boyce. The sophomore is tied for the PAC lead with four sacks and sits atop the conference with 5.5 TFLs.
