LOUISVILLE, Ky. (pacathletics.org) - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its 2026 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades for March 2 and three players from Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) programs were among those honored.
Highlighting this week's team are Allegheny College senior attack JP Rakis (Kensington, Md./Walter Johnson), Chatham University junior defender Jesse Corser-James (Fort Collins, Colo./The Hill School) and Thiel College freshman defender Dom Baker (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg).
Rakis scored seven goals and had 15 assists for a team-high 22 points, leading the Gators to a 2-0 week with wins over Pitt-Bradford (13-3) and at Lycoming (20-4). Rakis logged a hat trick with five assists for a game-high eight points against Pitt-Bradford. He finished one point shy of his own team record with 14 after scoring four goals with 10 assists against Lycoming.
Rakis became the first player in program history to reach 200 points and 100 assists following the game against Pitt-Bradford, and became the second Gator to reach 100 career goals against Lycoming.
Corser-James recorded 14 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers as a close defenseman in a pair of wins. He posted five CTs and scooped seven ground balls in a 14-2 victory over Marietta before causing six turnovers and picking up seven more GBs in a 17-16 win at previously unbeaten Virginia Wesleyan.
Baker led Thiel to a split of two games last week with 18 ground balls and eight caused turnovers while also scoring three goals with an assist. He posted 17 ground balls and six caused turnovers (both tied for fifth-most in team history) in Thiel's 20-2 win over La Roche.
