TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - The Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala., will be the site for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships this Friday-Saturday, March 13-14. The meet will feature seven student-athletes from Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) programs, including four women and three men competing for All-American status. The top 20 performers in each individual event are invited to the NCAA Championships.
It marks the highest number of PAC qualifiers for NCAA Championships, surpassing the previous high of six who went to the 2024 NCAA meet.
Westminster College leads the PAC contingent, with two women and one man competing this weekend. The women's pole vault will feature a pair of Titans in freshman Aubrey Rock (Butler, Pa./Butler) and senior Missy Treharne (Burton, Ohio/Beaumont School), while sophomore Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) will compete in the men's high jump.
Also qualifying on the women's side were Washington & Jefferson College senior Claire Anderson (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) in the 5,000 and Allegheny College sophomore Evie Ellenberger (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) in the long jump.
The PAC men's competitors this weekend will also include Bethany College freshman Jason Ellman (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) in the long jump and Geneva College sophomore Abraham Konneh (Sharon Hill, Pa./Chester Charter Scholars Academy) in the 200.
The first PAC competitors to begin their quest for All-American status will be Rock and Treharne in the pole vault Friday at 12 p.m. Rock, the No. 13 seed, was one of three competitors to qualify with a mark of 3.90 meters (12-9.50). She reached the personal-best mark with a third-place finish at the Youngstown State Icebreaker on Dec. 5. The No. 16 seed, Treharne is one of two competitors with a qualifying height of 3.88 meters (12-8.75). She won the pole vault with that personal-best mark at the PAC Championships on Feb. 26.
Rock and Treharne will try to add to the 22 pole vault All-American honors in Westminster history.
Also on Friday morning starting at 12:30 pm (EDT) is the men's long jump, which will feature Ellman, who will compete in the first of two flights as the 13th seed. Ellman earned PAC Track and Field MVP and Newcomer of the Year at the conference championship meet last month. In collecting those laurels, the first-year Bison won the long jump with a conference record mark of 7.27m/23-10.25, which was the jump that qualified Ellman for NCAAs.
Following the completion of the men's long jump Friday will be the women's competition, slated to begin at approximately 4:30 pm, which will include Ellenberger. The Gator sophomore and PAC women's long jump champion is the sixth seed for this weekend. Her NCAA qualifying effort came at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships at The Armory in New York City last weekend when she won the event with a winning jump of 5.90 m/19-4.25.
The two PAC qualifiers on the track will be in action later Friday afternoon, starting when Konneh will compete in the men's 200 preliminaries at approximately 5:30 pm. He is the 19th seed in the event and will run in the fifth of five heats Friday. Konneh turned in his qualifying time of 21.48 seconds at PAC Championships, which earned him the conference title as well. It was Konneh's second PAC gold medal, as he also won the 60, which helped Geneva win the PAC championship as a team.
Immediately following that event will be Anderson taking the track in the women's 5,000 at 5:45 pm. She is the lone PAC competitor this weekend who has run at the NCAA Indoor Championships previously, as she ran in the Mile last year. Anderson won the 3,000 and 5,000 at PAC Championships and her NCAA qualifying time of 16:48.20 came on Dec. 5th at the GVSU Holiday Open hosted by Grand Valley State. That time seeds her ninth for Friday's championship race.
On Saturday, Dye will be in action when the men's high jump begins at approximately 4:45 pm. He will enter the Championships as a No. 10 seed, one of 11 competitors with a mark of 2.06 meters (6-9). He hit the personal-best mark at the PAC Championships in February, which not only won Dye the PAC title, but also tied the conference record at the championship meet.
