PAC Player of the Week
Kalista Friday • Waynesburg • Senior guard • Woodsfield, Ohio/Monroe Central
Friday powered the Yellow Jackets to two conference victories this week, averaging 17.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game as teams across the league battle for playoff positioning ... In Wednesday’s 77-68 PAC South Division win at Saint Vincent, Friday scored 16 points while adding five rebounds, two assists and two blocks ... She followed that performance by recording her fourth double-double of the season against Hiram on Saturday ... The senior guard posted a game-high 19 points and 13 rebounds, along with four assists and three steals, in the 79-62 victory.

PAC Newcomer of the Week

Averaging 17.5 points per game while shooting an efficient 60 percent from the floor, Best helped the Bison secure two more conference victories this week ... In Wednesday’s 74-67 win at Chatham, Best recorded 15 points on 75 percent shooting (6-for-8) while adding seven rebounds, two assists and a steal ... The freshman followed that performance with a career-high 20 points against PAC North leader Grove City, while also contributing five assists, four rebounds and a steal.

Bethany's Ella Simpson scored a career-high 25 points and tied a team-high nine rebounds, as she led the Bison to the first season series sweep of Chatham in eight years ... Franciscan's Jazzlyn Melnyk posted a career-best performance with 29 points and 21 rebounds in Saturday's contest against Geneva.... Grove City's Reese Hasley moved into seventh place in program history with 250 career assists ... Hiram's Maya Joiner posted her sixth and then seventh double-double of the season with 20 points and 13 rebounds in Wednesday's win over Thiel and then 15 points and 18 rebounds on Saturday at Waynesburg ... Thiel's Issy Green tied her career-best 25 points against Hiram on Wednesday while also adding nine rebounds, eight assists and a block in the contest ... W&J's Riley DeRubbo led all scorers with 17 points in the win against Westminster on Saturday, marking the 11th time this season she has scored 17 points or more in a game ... Westminster's Grace Cano recorded her second double-double of the year with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Allegheny on Wednesday.
