Saint Vincent Names Colin Johnston Head Wrestling Coach 5/8/2025 8:15:00 AM LATROBE, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - Saint Vincent College and Athletic Director D.P. Harris are proud to announce the hiring of Colin Johnston as the Bearcats new Head Wrestling Coach. Johnston brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership, athlete development, and program-building at the collegiate level. Johnston most recently served as the Head Men's Wrestling Coach at Limestone University in South Carolina, where he led the program from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, he held head coaching positions at Fairmont State University and the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. He also served as Assistant Coach and later Interim Head Coach at Davidson College. "We are thrilled to welcome Coach Johnston to the Saint Vincent College community," said Harris. "His deep commitment to academic and athletic excellence, along with his passion for mentorship, makes him the ideal leader for our wrestling program. We are excited to see Colin continue to build on our championship program at Saint Vincent and continue to develop our outstanding student athletes." He holds certifications including CPR, Bronze and Copper Coaching certifications, and is a member of the NCAA Division II Rankings Committee. Johnston holds a Master of Science in Sport Management Studies with a focus on Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from PennWest (formerly California University of Pennsylvania). He also earned dual bachelor's degrees from West Virginia University, where he completed an internship supporting student-athlete academic success. "I am honored to join Saint Vincent College and lead the wrestling program," Johnston said. "This is a special opportunity to build on the program's championship tradition and help student-athletes grow on and off the mat.
