PAC Hitter of the Week Colin Marinpetro • Grove City • Junior first baseman • Imperial, Pa./West Allegheny Marinpetro hit .733 (11-for-15) with five doubles, a triple, nine runs scored and eight runs batted in as Grove City swept PAC twin bills from Allegheny and Franciscan … He posted a .778 on-base percentage and 1.200 slugging percentage for the week … Marinpetro went 6-for-8 Wednesday in Grove City's doubleheader sweep of Allegheny, highlighted when he hit two doubles, drove in three and scored twice in game one … Marinpetro went 5-for-7 with five runs scored, five RBIs, three doubles and a triple in Saturday's sweep of Franciscan and extended his hitting streak to 19 games. He struck out at least one batter in eight of the nine innings and took a three-hit shutout into the ninth for the Presidents ... DiMatteo also threw a perfect ninth inning with one punchout in a 14-6 victory over Baldwin Wallace ... The senior ace for the Presidents ranks in the top 15 in all of NCAA Division III, sporting a 1.11 season earned run average. Franciscan's Josiah Bodie belted two homers while hitting .435 (10-for-23) last week with 10 runs scored and nine RBIs ... Geneva senior Zack Sackett notched his 100th career RBI in game one against Thiel, while Eric Gonzalez reached base 10 times in Saturday's doubleheader by going 5-for-6 with four walks ... Grove City's Sam Meredith had four multi-hit games last week while hitting .529 (9-for-17) ... Calvin Cackowski hit .667 (10-for-15) en route to extending his career-best hitting streak to 11 games, as Thiel went 2-2 with splits against Franciscan and Geneva ... Also for Thiel, Alec Katon became the second Tomcat in team history to total 200 career strikeouts and also picked up his first career save in Thiel's wild 18-17 win over Geneva ...
