Allegheny's Barker, Lauer Named First Team All-ECAC 3/21/2025 3:00:00 PM DANBURY, Conn. (pacathletics.org) - Allegheny College seniors Luke Barker (New Castle, Pa./Struthers (Ohio)) and Emily Lauer (Knox, Pa./Keystone) were both named to the Division III All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) First Team for men's basketball and women's basketball respectively, as announced by the conference on March 20th. It's the second postseason honor for Barker, who was named to the All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Second Team at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign. Barker was the top scorer in the PAC this winter. He led the conference in both points (519) and points per game (20.8). Against conference opponents, his scoring average rose to 21.1 points per game. Barker was also first in the PAC in free throws (142), second in free-throw percentage (85.5%), sixth in assists per game (3.1), and seventh in field-goal percentage (48.9%). He reached double figures in all but three games this season, and in the finale at Bethany College, he poured in a career-high 41 points. For his career, Barker will graduate this spring first all-time in program history in free-throw percentage (83.1%), fourth in career points (1,454) and made 3-point field goals (181), and fifth in career free throws (301). Lauer's senior season ended with a plethora of awards from different organizations. In addition to her All-ECAC First Team selection, she was crowned the ECAC Championship MVP after leading the Gators to the tournament title last weekend. She was also named the PAC Player of the Year, an All-PAC First Teamer, and a D3hoops.com Region VII Second Teamer. Allegheny's first conference Player of the Year since 1995-96 and first All-Region honoree since 2011-12, Lauer finished her career as one of the greatest in the history of the Allegheny women's basketball program in 2024-25. Among PAC leaders, she ranked first in free-throw percentage (85.2%), third in points per game (16.9), and fourth in field-goal percentage (44.8%). She reached double figures in 27 of 29 games and logged 20-plus points on nine occasions. Her best game of the season came against the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, when Lauer scored 30 points with 13 rebounds for her first of two double-doubles. The team's top scorer in each of her four seasons, Lauer will graduate second all-time in program history with 1,752 career points. She is one of only two Gators to reach 1,300 points, she also ranks second in career field goals (684) and third in both free throws (313) and free-throw percentage (81.1%).
