This marks the first time multiple men from PAC programs have qualified for nationals since 2019 when Saint Vincent swimmer Jacob Davis and Westminster College diver Connor May competed at Championships. Dzurica, the PAC Swimmer of the Year after winning three individual events at the conference championships Feb. 19-22, has qualified in one event and will swim in two others in his first trip to national championships. He qualified in the 50 freestyle with his time of 20.08 seconds, swam in the prelims at PAC Championships, which ranks him 11th entering NCAAs. In addition, Dzurica will swim in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. His 100 free time of 44.44, which won the PAC title, just missed the automatic qualifying line for the event, as Dzurica is 17th in the field. He also posted his top time in the 100 back during the PAC meet, as his mark of 49.34 set a new conference record. Dzurica's schedule at the NCAA Championships begins Wednesday morning with the 50 free prelims. He will also compete on Friday in the 100 back and the 100 free prelims will be on Saturday morning. Einolf, who is also making his first appearance at NCAAs, owns the sixth-fastest time in the country in the 100 breaststroke after posting a time of 53.77 seconds February 22 in the finals at PAC Championships. His time of 47.67 in the 100 butterfly ranks 10th in Division III, which was posted December 7 in the preliminary session of the midseason Wheaton Invitational. Einolf will also compete in the 100 free at the national championships. He enters the meet ranked 19th in the country in that event as he posted a season-best time of 44.50 seconds at Wheaton. Einolf will compete in the 100 fly Thursday, while the 100 breaststroke will be held Friday. Dzurica and Einolf will compete head-to-head again in the 100 free scheduled for the final day of the Championships on Saturday.
