PAC Hitter of the Week Jacob LaDuca • Washington & Jefferson • Senior infielder • Clarence, N.Y./Canisius LaDuca dominated offensively for W&J on their Florida trip, helping the Presidents close with a 4-1 record last week ... The senior captain posted a .523 batting average (11-for-21), tallied 11 hits, hit five doubles, batted in four runs, stole three bags and smashed one home run on the week ... In a doubleheader with Marymount (Receiving Votes), LaDuca scored twice and stole a base in game one and then had a double and two RBIs in game two, as W&J completed the sweep ... Against UMass Dartmouth, LaDuca started a 4-for-4 game with a first-pitch home run in the top of the first and added two doubles, a walk and four runs scored with one RBI ... After adding a base hit against No. 17-ranked Rowan, LaDuca capped the trip with a 2-for-3 outing against Saint Joseph (Conn.), smacking his first triple of the season for one RBI with two walks and two stolen bases. He pitched 7.0 frames and fanned a season-high nine batters while allowing one run on six hits ... In his final inning of work, the Blue Jays managed a leadoff triple, but Marszalek stranded the runner with a K and two groundouts to preserve a two-run lead ... The nine strikeouts also match his career-high, set originally last May in an NCAA Regional win over Cortland. The first of his three multi-hit games was a 3-for-4 effort in a 12-0 win over Penn State-Beaver ... Then in game two against PSU-Beaver, Chenet was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs in a 21-9 victory ... In the final game of the week, a 16-1 romp over SUNY-Canton, Chenet was 2-for-4 again, knocked in one and scored three times. Franciscan's Jacob Cole earned his first collegiate win in the 5-4 victory over Northwestern (Minn.) on Friday in Florida, striking out six and walking zero over 3.2 innings of scoreless work ... Geneva Head Coach Alan Sumner got the 700th win of his Geneva career on Wednesday in Geneva's 21-9 victory over Penn State-Beaver ... As part of a big week for Geneva, Aaron Babu batted .500 (10-for-20) and scored 10 runs and Caleb Graft struck nine in six shutout innings against Penn State-Beaver ...Saint Vincent's Tyler Dancu threw a seven-hit shutout with three Ks in a 2-0 victory over Newport News Apprentice Saturday ... Ethan Bintrim (New Castle, Pa./Shenango) collected his 100th career hit in Thiel's matchup with Marywood and Chase Morrison hit .429 (9-for-21) as he put together a six-game hitting streak in Thiel's final six games in Florida ... Tyson Djakovich ripped off his third straight win in Westminster's 3-1 game-two win at Heidelberg Friday, allowing one run on four hits with a career-high eight strikeouts in 6.0 innings.
