The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 3 of the 2025 season.

 
PAC Offensive Player of the Week
Shawn McSwiggen • Saint Vincent • Junior right-side/outside hitter • Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson
McSwiggen totaled 33 kills (4.71 kills per set), hitting a .421 this week for the Bearcats ... In a five-set match against Elizabethtown, McSwiggen led all hitters with 28 kills, paired with 12 digs to record his first double-double of the season ... He added two aces for a total of 30 points to average six points per set ... The junior went on to hit .625 in a three-set victory over Wilson with five kills on just eight attempts with zero errors for the Bearcats' offense, while adding seven digs on defense.

PAC Defensive Player of the Week
Tieg Malcolm • Grove City • Junior middle blocker • New Philadelphia, Ohio/Homeschooled
Malcolm compiled a team-high 12 total blocks, averaging 2.0 blocks per set, in Grove City's first-ever victories on Saturday ... The sophomore middle blocker opened up the weekend totaling eight blocks (one solo, seven assisted), averaging 2.67 blocks per set against Mount Aloysius, while adding three kills on four attempts (.750 hitting percentage) and two service aces ... In the Wolverines' victory over Olivet, Malcolm totaled four blocks (two solo, two assisted) and a dig paired with another two service aces and two kills.

PAC Newcomer of the Week
Ezra Oesterling • Thiel • Freshman outside hitter • Shelocta, Pa./West Shamokin
Oesterling averaged 18.3 kills, eight digs and 1.3 aces while hitting .306 from the outside as Thiel went 2-1 in the AMCC/PAC Crossover ... In a Friday night three-set victory over Hilbert, Oesterling recorded 10 kills and four digs with a service ace ... The freshman outside hitter's weekend was highlighted with a career-best 24-kill performance on Saturday in a five-set match against Penn State-Altoona, which tied him for the second-most kills in a single match by a freshman in program history and are the most in a match by a freshman in all of NCAA volleyball this season ... Oesterling followed-up with a second 20+ kill match (his third of the season), posting his second collegiate double-double with 21 kills and 14 digs in a five-set win over Penn State Behrend.

PAC Records & Milestones
Bethany's men's volleyball team won their first match in program history on Thursday, defeating Carlow in three sets to secure their first win in the inaugural Presidents' Athletic Conference men's volleyball season, as well as Head Coach Chuck Shoemaker's first win at Bethany College ... The Bison set a program record with 25 aces from the service line, as freshman Riley Burdett opened the match serving three-straight while right-side hitter Alexander Hall (Fairfax Station, Va./South County) and sophomore middle blocker Rylan Trapp (Belleville, Ill./Belleville Twp. West) each recorded a game-high of five aces total ... On Saturday, Chatham set a new program record, scoring 36 points in the second set (36-38) and earned their first reverse sweep in program history in a 3-2 victory over Penn State Behrend, as Tim McCabe posted his first double-double with a career-high 23 kills and 12 digs in the match ... Geneva's Owen Kelley recorded a career-high 18 kills in the Golden Tornadoes' four-set match against Penn State Behrend on Friday ... The Grove City men's volleyball team earned the first two victories in program history Saturday with a pair of non-conference sweeps, opening the day with a three-set victory over Mount Aloysius, followed by a second win against Olivet in the nightcap ... Thiel's Will Zimmerman posted his second career double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs against Penn State Behrend Saturday, while teammate Bryce Lizanich had a career-best 11 kills (.364 hitting percentage) along with five total blocks (three solo, two assisted).
