The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 1 of the 2024 season.
 
PAC Runner of the Week
Claire Walters • Franciscan • Senior • Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius
Walters took home first place in the 74-runner field at the Fisher Invite on Friday afternoon in New Wilmington, which led the Barons to the team title as well ... Walters returned to the course for the first time since the 2022 NCAA National Championship, as she ran a time of 19:59.24 to cross the finish line first in the 5K race ... This is the second time that she has won this event in her collegiate career at Franciscan.

PAC Newcomer of the Week
Grace Neubert • Saint Vincent • Freshman • St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic
In her collegiate debut, Neubert placed second overall at the Fr. Bede Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis University ... Neubert covered the 4-kilometer course in 14:26.20 to earn runner-up honors in the 82-runner field, which included 64 runners from NCAA Division I institutions ... She finished just six seconds behind individual champ Shaelan McNally of Bucknell University, helping the Bearcats to a fourth-place finish.

PAC Records & Milestones
Franciscan's Emily Maag was the first freshman to cross the finish line at Westminster on Friday afternoon, as she placed fourth in her first collegiate race with a time of 20:46.98 to help the Barons win the team title ... W&J's Maria Gilles led the charge for the Presidents, taking first place with a time of 22:02.99 at the annual W&J Invitational.
