The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 5 of the 2023 season.
 
PAC Player of the Week
Anton Hedlund • Allegheny • Sophomore • Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet
Hedlund went a combined 4-0 last week, which helped the Gators open PAC play with a 9-0 win over Franciscan, as well as score a 9-0 non-conference victory at Mount Union … He only dropped three games in each match, as he teamed with Ethan Carr for an 8-1 win at first doubles against Franciscan and then won 6-1, 6-1 in first singles … Hedlund came back Sunday against Mount Union for an 8-2 win at first doubles and then a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at first singles.
Other notable performers from last week
Grove City junior Jameson Sposato (Frewsburg, N.Y./Frewsburg) earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at fourth singles and also teamed with Gavin Miller to pick up an 8-0 triumph at No. 2 doubles in the Wolverines’ 8-1 PAC win over Geneva … Thiel junior Eli Flinchbaugh (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) and Nathaniel Udell fell 8-3 at first doubles and Flinchbaugh battled to a 6-1, 6-3 loss at first singles against Penn State-Altoona Sunday,
 
PAC Rookie of the Week
Ethan Carr • Allegheny • King of Prussia, Pa./Harriton
Carr went 2-0 at first doubles and second singles to help lift Allegheny to 9-0 wins over Franciscan and Mount Union last week … After teaming with Anton Hedlund for an 8-1 win at first doubles, Carr posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory in singles in the Gators’ sweep over Franciscan Friday … Against Mount Union, Carr and Hedlund were 8-2 winners at first doubles and then Carr was victorious by 6-2, 6-2 counts at second singles.

Geneve freshman Braiden Smalley (Gibsonia, Pa./PA Cyber Charter) teamed with senior Jacques Guillembet to pull out an 8-7 victory in #1 doubles against Grove City on Wednesday … Grove City freshman Benjamin Jones (Clayton, N.C./Clayton) did not drop a game in his third singles win Wednesday at Geneva, winning 6-0 and 6-0, while also teaming with Adam Scharnagl for an 8-3 victory at third doubles, helping Grove City to an 8-1 victory in the conference opener.
