Pugh accounted for four touchdowns to guide the Presidents to a 38-33 victory over Case Western Reserve Saturday night ... Pugh completed 20-of-35 pass attempts for 275 yards ... The junior signal caller rushed for a four-yard touchdown on W&J's opening possession, then tossed for three more touchdowns (5/9/47) and committed no turnovers in an impressive performance against a Case Western Reserve defense that ranked first in the PAC and sixth in the nation in scoring defense entering the match-up.
PAC Offensive Honor Roll
Allegheny senior WR Declan O'Brien (Irwin, Pa./Norwin); Case Western Reserve junior WR Noah Coyne (Painesville, Ohio/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin); Geneva junior RB Josh Syster (Clymer, Pa./Purchase Line); Grove City junior RB Nico Flati (Aliquippa, Pa./West Allegheny); Thiel senior RB Andrew Plowden (Homewood, Pa./Penn Hills Charter); Waynesburg sophomore WR Isaac Trout (Ruffs Dale, Pa./Southmoreland); Westminster fifth-year RB Ryan Gomes (Tampa, Fla./Walter L. Sickles)

PAC Defensive Player of the Week
Ben Bladel • Grove City • Sophomore linebacker • Coraopolis, Pa./Moon
Bladel recorded two sacks, recovered a fumble at the Bethany 11 that set up a touchdown, blocked a punt and returned the block for a touchdown Saturday in Grove City's 56-14 win over Bethany … He finished with five total tackles, including 2.5 for loss, as Grove City held Bethany to 51 rushing yards ... Bladel now has 11 sacks this year, which is tied for second on Grove City's single-season list with Ed Fox (1998) ... Bladel's blocked punt return for touchdown Saturday marked the first time that the Wolverines scored on a blocked punt since Gene Iannuzzi at Thiel in 2003.
PAC Defensive Honor Roll
Allegheny senior DL Nigel Williams (Buffalo, N.Y./Cardinal O'Hara); Thiel senior FS Darnell Jordan (Pittsburgh, Pa./Westinghouse); W&J junior DE Avery Keith (Hartville, Ohio/Lake); Waynesburg senior LB Jaquaivis Valle-Smith (Orlando, Fla./Winter Park); Westminster sophomore LB Dylan Sleva (Moon Township, Pa./Moon)

Sonson Jr. averaged 38.5 yards on six punts in Saturday's 22-20 victory at Saint Vincent … His 48-yard punt to start the second quarter was downed at the Bearcats' five-yard line and three plays later, the Titans had a sack in the end zone for a safety for the first points in the game … Sonson Jr. dropped three of his six punts inside the 20-yard line, including a 36-yard boot that was a fair catch at the SVC 13 with 40 seconds to play in a two-point game.
PAC Special Teams Honor Roll
Allegheny junior P Trevor Brncic (Export, Pa./Franklin Regional); Grove City senior KR/DB Gabe Dunlap (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford); Waynesburg sophomore K/P Ricco Sastoque (Concord, N.C./Northwest Cabbarus); W&J junior DB Zachai Simmons (Hawthorne, N.J./The Linsly School-W.Va.)

… Thiel's 154 yards of total offense on Saturday are the fewest allowed by Allegheny since holding Hiram to 110 yards in a 13-0 win over the Terriers on November 10, 2012 …. The three points are the fewest given up in a game since the Gators shut out Kenyon, 49-0, on October 19, 2019.
