Week 6 PAC Honors (for games played March 21-27)
The weekly award winners have been recognized for their performances during Week 6 of the 2022 season.
 

PAC Hitter of the Week

Seth Schrader • Westminster • Senior outfielder • Fredonia, N.Y. | Fredonia Schrader hit .643 (9-14) with a pair of doubles, a triple, 13 RBIs and seven runs scored during Westminster’s 4-0 week… He posted a .600 on-base percentage and a .929 slugging percentage… Schrader hit .750 with runners in scoring position last week… He went 8-of-10 with two doubles, a triple, 12 RBIs and six runs scored in Saturday’s doubleheader sweep at Chatham… Schrader is hitting .432 with five extra-base hits, 15 RBIs and 13 runs scored this season.

Other notable performers from last week

Bethany senior Kevin Pollock (Meadville, Pa. | Sharpsville) hit .417 with a double, six RBIs and three runs scored last week… He went 5-for-7 with a double, six RBIs and three runs scored in Friday’s doubleheader split with Thiel… Chatham junior Brandon Griener (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Brentwood) hit .571  with two doubles and six RBIs last week… He leads the PAC with a .550 batting average this spring… Franciscan junior Aidan Hickey (North Olmsted, Ohio | Holy Name) hit .375 with three doubles, four RBIs and a run scored last week… Grove City sophomore Lucca Baccari (Irwin, Pa. | Penn-Trafford) hit .667 with four doubles, 10 RBIs and and four runs scored last week…He went 7-for-10 with three doubles, three runs scored and seven RBIs in a three-game sweep of PAC foe Geneva… Thiel senior Dan Lutz (Loveland, Ohio | Milford) hit .364 with a home run, four RBIs and a pair of runs scored last week… He hit his first collegiate home run in the Tomcats’ game one win against Bethany Friday.

   

PAC Pitcher of the Week

Timothy Lewis • Westminster • Sophomore • Southwest Harbor, Maine | Wilmington     Lewis improved to 2-0 this season with a four-hit shutout in Westminster’s 5-0 game one victory over Pitt-Greensburg last Monday… He struck out a career-high five men in the win and did not allow a walk… Lewis needed just 69 pitches to secure the victory… He owns a 0.75 earned-run average this season.

Other notable performers from last week

Bethany junior Zach Nolf (Hubbard, Ohio | McDonald) allowed one run (1 earned) on three hits with a strikeout in 4.0 relief innings in Tuesday’s extra-innings win at Penn State Fayette… He was 1-0 with a 1.59 earned-run average in two appearances last week… Franciscan junior Jacob Watson (Arlington, Texas | Nolan Catholic) threw a complete game in Friday’s win over Waynesburg, allowing two runs (2 earned) on nine hits with three strikeouts… He is 4-0 this season… Grove City senior Tate Ostrowski (Essex, Mass. | Covenant Christian) was 1-0 in two appearances last week… Thursday, he struck out six in 5.0 shutout innings at Geneva, earning the win… Ostrowski allowed two hits and did not walk a man… He allowed no earned runs and two hits Monday in 2.0 relief innings at Mount Aloysius… Thiel junior Travis Harvey (Boardman, Ohio | Boardman) earned the game two victory Friday against Bethany, allowing five runs (2 earned) on five hits in 5.2 innings… W&J senior Jameson Campbell (Painesville, Ohio | Riverside) worked 6.0 innings in Wednesday’s win over Wooster, allowing one run (1 earned) on four hits with six strikeouts.

 

PAC Rookie of the Week

Mally Kilbane • Grove City • Freshman designated hitter • Olmsted Falls, Ohio | Olmsted Falls      Kilbane hit .500 (8-16) with three RBIs, eight runs scored and a home run in Grove City's 3-1 week… He finished the week with a .579 on-base percentage and .688 slugging percentage… Kilbane went 7-for-11 and scored eight runs in Grove City's three-game sweep of PAC foe Geneva… He capped the week by going 3-for-4 with a homer and four runs scored Friday in Grove City’s 12-7 game two win at Geneva.

Bethany freshman Grant Schaffner (Lewis Center, Ohio | Olentangy) hit .583 with a double, three RBIs and six runs scored last week… Franciscan freshman David Ferroni (Mingo Junction, Ohio | Indian Creek) went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored against Muskingum… Freshman Jeff Hawkins (Severn, Md. | Mount Saint Joseph) helped Geneva earn a PAC-opening win at Waynesburg Tuesday, throwing 6.0 innings and allowing four runs (1 earned) on three hits… He is 3-0 this season… Thiel freshman Ethan Bintrim (New Castle, Pa. | Shenango) hit .462 with three RBIs and a pair of runs scored last week… W&J freshman Dante DiMatteo (Pittsburgh, Pa. | Fox Chapel) retired all six hitters he faced in Wednesday's win over Wooster… He struck out five to record his fourth save of the season… DiMatteo has yet to allow a hit in 10.0 innings of work this spring… Waynesburg freshman Bryce Bedilion (Clarksville, Pa. | Jefferson-Morgan) hit .500 last week… Westminster first-year Dwight Parker (Youngstown, Ohio | Liberty) registered his first career save in Saturday’s game two win at Chatham… He struck out four in 2.0 innings of work.
