Morris won the 174-pound weight class at The New Standard Invitational, hosted by York College ... He went 4-0 with four hard-fought victories coming by decision and never allowed more than three points in any of his bouts on his way to the title ... Morris took the crown after upsetting top seeded Reid Colella of The College of New Jersey, 6-3, who went into the tournament as a "Contender" for the D3Wrestle.com national top 10 … Morris is now 8-0 on the season..
Other notable performers
Junior Bryce McCloskey (Greenville, Pa. | Reynolds) went 5-0 to finish first in the 184-pound bracket Saturday at the RIT Invitational … McCloskey opened the day with a 4-2 win over Wesleyan’s Aris Dashiell before winning by technical fall (16-0) over Oswego State’s Shaquille Daniel … McCloskey beat John Carroll’s Caiden Rodgers 7-2 before winning by major decision (15-6) in the semifinals over Alfred State’s Sean Malenfant … He won by medical forfeit over Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Isaac Cory in the final bout for his second tournament bracket win of the season (Nov. 19 at Baldwin Wallace).
 
PAC Rookie of the Week
Christian Michaels • Waynesburg • Freshman • West Mifflin, Pa. | West Mifflin
Michaels picked up his first win of the season at the New Standard Invitational, which he accomplished with a first-period fall in the 133-pound bracket.
Other notable performers
Thiel freshman Landon Mead (Clarendon, Pa. | Sheffield) went 2-2 at 157 pounds at the W&J Invitational.. He won his first two matches by fall… Waynesburg freshman Ryan Bachar (Export, Pa. | Penn-Trafford) went 2-2 with a pin at 157 pounds at the W&J Invitational.
