PAC Wrestler of the Week Peyton Hearn • Thiel • Senior • Conneaut, Pa. | Conneaut Hearn went 4-0 Saturday and won the 157-pound bracket at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational… He opened the day with a 7-2 decision over Case Western Reserve’s Marty Landes before winning by major decision (11-1) over Defiance’s Brent Eicher… Hearn won 4-0 over Baldwin Wallace’s Justin Ritchie in the semifinals before edging Baldwin Wallace’s Emmanuel Scordos (2-1) in the title bout… Hearn opened the season with a 4-0, first-place finish at the W&J Invitational last weekend… On Wednesday, he helped the Tomcats defeat Hiram 33-19 in Greenville with a 9-3 victory over Seth Holt. Other notable performers Sophomore Hunter Swedish (Cranberry Township, Pa. | Seneca Valley) improved to 10-0 this season after leading W&J with a 3-0 mark at 133 pounds at the Waynesburg Duals Saturday… Waynesburg junior Colby Morris (Waynesburg, Pa. | Waynesburg Central) wrestled his first collegiate match since Feb. 12, 2021 during Saturday's Waynesburg Duals, and went 3-0 with two pins on the day… He was away from the team last year as he fulfilled his training obligations to the United States National Guard. PAC Rookie of the Week Bryce Rodriguez-Uram • Washington & Jefferson • Freshman • Carnegie, Pa. | Carlynton Rodriguez-Uram scored a 7-6 win over Messiah’s Asa Brunk Saturday at the Waynesburg Duals… Rodriguez-Uram finished the day 1-1 at 141 pounds, falling to Shippensburg’s Al Miscovich by a 10-8 decision. Other notable performers Thiel freshman Landon Mead (Clarendon, Pa. | Sheffield) went 2-2 at 157 pounds at the W&J Invitational.. He won his first two matches by fall… Waynesburg freshman Ryan Bachar (Export, Pa. | Penn-Trafford) went 2-2 with a pin at 157 pounds at the W&J Invitational.
