PAC Wrestler of the Week

Peyton Hearn • Thiel • Junior • Conneaut, Pa. | Conneaut Hearn went 5-1 last week for Thiel… In Thiel's 27-21 PAC win at W&J Tuesday night, Hearn secured a win by fall over Seth Finnigan (2:52) at 165 pounds to give Thiel a 27-3 lead and clinch the conference victory... In Friday’s 42-6 PAC win over visiting Waynesburg, he won by decision (7-0) over Seth Evans in the 165-pound bout… At Sunday’s Jamestown Community College Open, Hearn finished 3-1 to secure a second-place finish at 157 pounds… He defeated Mark Bansefall (unattached) by fall (1:29) and earned wins by decision over Brockport’s Max Ebanks (13-7) and Adam Barker (unattached, 7-2) to advance to the title match… Hearn fell to Gannon’s Robert Boley by major decision (15-6) to finish as the runner-up.

W&J senior Alex Donahue (Indiana, Pa. | Indiana) needed just 1:46 to secure a win by fall over Thiel's Dylan Proper at 285 pounds Wednesday night… Waynesburg junior Rocky McGeary (McDonald, Pa. | West Allegheny) went 2-1 at 285 pound last week, logging a win by fall (4:31) over Thiel’s Seth Phillips Friday night.

   

PAC Rookie of the Week

Alexander Anderson • Thiel • Freshman • Warren, Pa. | Warren  Anderson secured a pair of wins by fall at 157 pounds in Thiel’s two PAC victories last week… In Tuesday night’s 27-21 win at W&J, he pinned Joshua Searle in 3:42… In Friday night’s 42-6 win over visiting Waynesburg, Anderson pinned Kyle Hinerman in 2:46.

Other notable performers from last week

W&J freshman Brayden Roscosky (Vandergrift, Pa. | Kiski) remains undefeated this season, as the first-year wrestler improved his record to 15-0 with a win by fall (4:59) over Thiel’s Braydon Herbster Wednesday night at 197 pounds.
