GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org)--The Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Men’s Golf Championships were scheduled to conclude April 25, but due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the PAC Presidents' Council cancelled the 2020 spring seasons on April 3.

As a result, the 2019-20 PAC team title and postseason award winners have been determined exclusively by the 36-hole results of the 2019 PAC Fall Championship, which took place Oct. 7-8 at Avalon Golf & Country Club in Warren, Ohio. The men played 36 holes at its par-72 Avalon Lakes course.

The final 18 holes of this year’s championships were to be played at Oglebay Resort’s Speidel Golf Club in Wheeling, W.Va., with a round on the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course.

Washington & Jefferson College posted a two-round team score of 600 (298-302) last fall to claim this year’s title, finishing 13 strokes ahead of runner-up Westminster College (613, 303-310).

Saint Vincent College finished third (650, 324-326) and was followed by Grove City College in fourth (652, 331-321), Thiel College in fifth (657, 324-333), Waynesburg University in sixth (693, 346-347) and Bethany College in seventh (807, 391-416).

The PAC title is W&J’s league-best 20th. The Presidents, led by fifth-year head coach Matt Kluck, also won the conference title in 2017-18 and 2018-19.

PAC Player of the Year honors went to W&J freshman Colin Robinson (Inverness, Ill. | William Fremd), who claimed fall medalist honors after registering a three-under 141 (70-71). Robinson also secured the PAC Newcomer of the Year award.

Westminster sophomore Michael Bell (Canonsburg, Pa. | Peters Township) was the runner-up after logging a one-over 145 (74-71) last fall. W&J junior Garett Barilar (Bloomsburg, Pa. | Central Columbia) finished third with a four-over 148 (76-72) last October.

Kluck earned his third-straight PAC Coach of the Year award.

Beginning with the 2017-18 season, the PAC Championships have featured a 54-hole stroke play event, with 36 holes contested at the Fall Championships and another 18 holes played at the Spring Championships. The combined 54-hole team totals have determined the PAC team champions and winners of the league's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III Championships. Since 2017-18, All-PAC and Player of the Year honors have been determined by a player's combined 54-hole scores.

This year's PAC Championships were the first to be limited to the results of the 36-hole fall event since 2011-12, when the April 23-24 spring rounds were cancelled due to poor weather and course conditions.
