KANSAS CITY, Mo. (pacathletics.org) – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its 2014 NABC Coaches’ Division III All-America teams Thursday and Saint Vincent College senior forward Dillon Stith (Bedford, Va./Liberty) was recognized as a member of the third team.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III, these 24 student-athletes represent the finest Division III basketball players across America.

Stith has also been selected to participate in the 2014 Reese's® Division III College All-Star Game, which will be played as part of the 2014 NCAA® Division III Men's Basketball Championship. The Reese's® Division III College All-Star game will be played on Saturday, March 22 at 3 p.m. (EDT), prior to the Division III Championship tournament final, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va.

Stith, just the second Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) representative to be named a NABC Division III All-American (John Carroll’s John Columbo was a second-team selection in 1983), earned a spot on the NABC Great Lakes district first team selection on Tuesday after garnering first team All-Great Lakes region honors from D3hoops.com on Monday.

He was named the league's Player of the Year on March 4.

The only PAC player to average a double-double this season, Stith finished the year second in the league in points per game (19.5) and first in rebounds per game (10.2). He topped 20 points 14 times and never scored less than 10 points in a game this season. He also finished fourth in the conference in blocks per game (1.4) and eighth in field goal percentage (51.2%).

In the latest Division III men's basketball ranking summary (through games played on March 16), the 6-5 forward ranked fourth in free throws attempted (251), fifth in free throws made (186) and double doubles (18), 17th in total rebounds (295) and 22nd in total points (565).

In the Bearcats' 124-121 quadruple overtime loss at Thiel College on Feb. 5, Stith set the Saint Vincent single-game scoring record with 50 points, also tying him for second among PAC single-game scoring leaders. His 26 made free throws and 58 minutes played against the Tomcats also established school records.

Stith finished his Bearcat career with 1,310 points, good for the number 13 spot on the school's all-time scoring list. He also pulled down 697 career rebounds.
