Saint Vincent Secures Second-Straight PAC Men’s Basketball Title

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (pacathletics.org) – Third-seeded Saint Vincent registered its second-straight Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament title Saturday evening, scoring a 90-84 victory at second-seeded Thomas More's Connor Convocation Center.

The PAC’s 13th annual tournament title game was a repeat of last season’s championship contest, which saw the top-seeded Bearcats post an 81-67 win over the third-seeded Saints at the Robert S. Carey Center in Latrobe, Pa.

As the PAC champion, Saint Vincent receives the league's automatic bid to this year's NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, which gets underway March 6. You can watch this year's selection show live on ncaa.com at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3.

Senior forward Dillon Stith (Bedford, Va./Liberty) and senior guard Isaac Turner (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park) scored 23 and 22 points, respectively, in the Bearcats’ second-straight conference title game, while sophomore guard JC Howard (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) chipped in with 20. Junior guard/forward Drew Mumford (Louisville, Ky./Christian Academy) paced the Saints with a game-high 26. Senior guard D’Carlo Hayes (Louisville, Ky./Male) and freshman guard Nate McGovney (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) both finished with 20.
