PAC Releases 2013 All-Conference Women’s Volleyball Teams

GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) released its 2013 All-PAC Women’s Volleyball teams Tuesday.

The 2013 PAC Player of the Year is Thomas More College junior libero Kelsey Castiglioni (Harrison Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse) while Bethany College outside hitter Dylana McKenzie (Hopewell, Ohio/West Muskingum) was tabbed the league’s Freshman of the Year. 2013 PAC Coach of the Year honors went to Thomas More sixth-year head coach John Spinney. The PAC Coach of the Year honor is Spinney’s third (2010, 2012).

Castligioni helped lead the third-seeded Saints (24-5) to their second-straight PAC Championship Tournament title on Nov. 9 with a 3-2 win in the league’s championship final over top-seeded Bethany College. The tournament title is the fifth for the Saints' program.

Castiglioni finished the PAC season tops in the league in digs (652) and digs per set (5.82). McKenzie concluded the PAC season fourth in total kills (311) and tied for seventh in kills per set (2.45).

Thomas More will be making its 11th appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament on Friday, Nov. 15 in Atlanta, taking on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the opening round of the Emory University Regional.
