PAC SAAC Scholar-Athletes of the Month (January 2015)

Each month the Student-Athlete Advisory Committees (SAAC) at each Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) member institution are asked to nominate one male and one female student-athlete for PAC SAAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month consideration based on academic and athletic accomplishments. Honorees must be a varsity member in their respective sport(s) and in their junior or senior year. Scholar-Athlete of the Month nominees must also have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher and be actively involved within his or her campus community.

Mobley, a four-year letter winner and two-year team captain with the Titans’ swimming and diving program, is also a two-time Coach Gene Nicholson Swimmer/Scholar Award winner. The Nicholson Award is given to Westminster junior and senior swimmers and divers with at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). The award was established in 2007 by a group of swimming and diving alumni and friends to honor former head coach Gene Nicholson (1972-85) and the values he exemplified.

A three-year member of the PAC’s Spring Academic Honor Roll, Mobley has been recognized as Westminster’s SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week on multiple occasions and was honored as the PAC Swimmer/Diver of the Week on January 12, 2015. She is also listed among Westminster’s top 10 all-time times.

Mobley earned All-PAC Second Team distinction with seventh-place finishes in the 100 and 200 fly and an eighth-place finish in the 200 IM at last season’s conference championships.

Mobley has spent three years working with Westminster’s SAAC and volunteers with the Titans’ Special Olympics initiatives. She is a four-year member of Enactus, a community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world. With the support and encouragement of faculty advisors and local business advisory board, Enactus students apply business concepts to develop community outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Enactus groups participate in national competitions, allowing schools to showcase how students are transforming lives and enabling progress through entrepreneurial action.

A seven-time Dean’s List honoree, Mobley is active with Omicron Kappa Delta, a national leadership honorary, Pi Sigma Pi, a local scholastic honor fraternity, Lambda Sigma, a national honorary for second-year men and women and Alpha Gamma Delta, an international women's fraternity.

Mobley maintains a 3.976 GPA while majoring in business administration, minoring in psychology and concentrating in human resources.

Guiser, a dual-sport student-athlete (football) during each of his four years at Geneva, was selected as this year’s indoor and outdoor men's track and field captain. He established new Geneva records in the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash and as a member of the 4x200-meter relay last season. Through four events this season, Guiser has one first-place and one second-place finish in the 60 and has finished among the top 10 in each race.
 
His time of 7.05 seconds in the 60 is the fastest time in the PAC this season. He also holds a top 10 time in the 200.
 
Guiser is the president of Geneva’s Accounting Club and of Golden Tornado Outreach, the College’s football charity organization, is active with the school’s Business Club and serves as the football representative on the leadership team of the school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
 
He is a member of Delta Mu Delta, a business honor society, and serves as the treasurer for Geneva’s Becker CPA Review organization. He also serves as the site coordinator for Geneva’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), a program designed to provide aid for any families with basic returns and aimed at those with low income and the elderly within the Beaver Falls community.

Guiser carries a 3.9025 GPA while majoring in accounting and business.
