GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – Defending league champion Thomas More College has earned the top seed and hosting rights throughout the 2017-18 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Championship Tournament, which will take place February 20-24.

The Saints and fifth-year head coach Drew Cooper will be looking for the program’s third league title (2009, 2017). Thomas More, who made its sixth PAC title game appearance since 2010 last year, had been winless in its previous five. The Saints will enter the championship tournament as the number one seed for the first time since its PAC title run in 2009.

Tournament action begins with Tuesday’s quarterfinal round. Top-seeded Thomas More (20-5, 16-2 PAC) will host eighth-seeded Thiel College (7-16, 5-13 PAC), second-seeded Bethany College (14-11, 14-4 PAC) will host seventh-seeded Waynesburg University (10-15, 6-12 PAC), third-seeded Saint Vincent College (16-9, 13-5 PAC) will host sixth-seeded Geneva College (11-14, 7-11 PAC) and fourth-seeded Westminster College (18-7, 12-6 PAC) will host fifth-seeded Grove City College (16-9, 9-9 PAC).

In Thursday’s semifinal round, the tournament’s lowest remaining seed will travel to the highest remaining seed with the two remaining middle seeds meeting at the higher of the two. Both semifinal matchups are slated for 7 p.m.

Saturday's title game will be hosted by the higher seed remaining following Thursday's semifinals, with the start time scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Admission to all PAC Championship Tournament games is $5 for adults and $2 for students, with students at PAC host institutions admitted for free with valid identification.

The winner of the PAC’s Championship Tournament will receive the league's automatic qualifying bid to this year's Division III Championship Tournament, which gets underway Friday, March 2. The selected Division III Championship teams and tournament pairings will be announced Monday, February 26.
