All-PAC First Team | All-PAC Second Team | All-PAC Honorable Mention | PAC Sportsmanship Team

GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org)--The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its All-PAC football teams and annual award winners Tuesday. The All-PAC teams and yearly award winners are determined, by vote, of the league’s 10 head coaches.

Geneva College senior running back Trewon Marshall (Leetsdale, Pa. | Quaker Valley) earned PAC Offensive Most Valuable Player honors, while PAC Defensive Most Valuable Player honors went to Case Western Reserve University senior defensive end Cameron Brown (Westlake, Ohio | Westlake). Case Western Reserve freshman quarterback Drew Saxton (South Fayette, Pa. | South Fayette) was named the league’s Newcomer of the Year.

Grove City College third-year head coach Andrew DiDonato was voted the PAC Coach of the Year.

Marshall, a three-time All-PAC honoree and two-time First Team pick, is Geneva’s first-ever PAC Player of the Year selection. He finished the 2018 season with 288 carries for 1,716 yards and 16 touchdowns. In nine PAC games this fall, Marshall totaled 1,522 yards and 14 scores. His 1,716 yards currently rank fourth among all NCAA Division III counterparts. Marshall is Geneva’s all-time rushing leader with 4,263 yards, which also ranks sixth among PAC career leaders. His 715 career carries rank seventh among the league’s all-time leaders.

Brown, a three-time All-PAC honoree and two-time First Team pick, posted a league-leading 15.0 sacks for the Spartans in 2018, the highest single-season total in program history. His 15.0 sacks also rank second in Division III and sixth on the league’s single-season list. Brown totaled 18.0 tackles for loss to go along with 49 stops (28 solo) and three forced fumbles.

Saxton led the PAC in passing yards (3,033), total offense (3,153), passing efficiency (161.0), passing touchdowns (34) and completion percentage (62.4%, 221-of-354). His 221 completions and 354 attempts were also league highs. Saxton’s 34 passing touchdowns rank third in Division III, sixth on the PAC single-season list and tied Dan Whalen's single-season program record set in 2009. His 3,033 passing yards rank ninth in both Division III and among the league's single-season leaders.

DiDonato led Grove City to an 8-3 record this season, the most victories for the program since the 1997 team finished the year 9-2. This was the sixth time in program history that Grove City won eight or more games in a season. The Wolverines posted a 6-3 PAC record and won each of their final seven games this season. Last Saturday at Robert E. Thorn Field, Grove City earned a 56-48 victory over Morrisville State College in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) James Lynah Bowl. It marked the first postseason win in the 124-year history of the program.
