(pacathletics.org) – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced Saturday evening the field has been set for next week’s Women's Soccer Championship Tournament. The women's soccer championship tournament, which will get underway Wednesday, November 2 at campus sites, determines this year’s PAC champion, which receives the conference's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III Championship the following week. In Wednesday’s first semifinal, top-seeded and fourth-ranked Thomas More College (18-0-1, 9-0 PAC), under the direction of 10th-year head coach Jeff Cummings, will host fourth-seeded Chatham University (11-4-2, 6-3 PAC) and fifth-year head coach Betsy Warren at BB&T Field at 3 p.m. Thomas More, the championship tournament’s top seed for the fifth-straight year, will be seeking its sixth-straight tournament title. Chatham is making its first-ever appearance in the league's championship tournament since joining the PAC in 2007. Second-seeded Washington & Jefferson College (13-4-2, 7-2 PAC), led by 10th-year head coach Pete Curtis, will host third-seeded Grove City College (14-4, 7-2 PAC) and 24th-year head coach Melissa Lamie Wednesday at Alexandre Stadium at 7 p.m. W&J enters the championship tournament as the number two seed for the second-straight season and is playing for its first league championship since 2010. Grove City last won a PAC title in 2001 and is making the trip to Washington for a semifinal matchup against W&J for the second-straight year. This year's championship match will be hosted by the highest-remaining seed following Wednesday's semifinals on Saturday, November 5. The start time for Saturday’s title match will be determined after the completion of the semifinals. Admission for all PAC Championship events is $5 for adults and $2 for students. Championship programs will be available for $1. PAC and institutional passes are not accepted at PAC Championship events. Students from PAC institutions will be admitted for free to events at their school with valid college identification.
