PAC announces all-conference women’s soccer teams

GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its 2015 All-PAC women's soccer teams and yearly award winners Monday. 

The league's 10 head soccer coaches selected the All-Conference teams and award winners.

2015 PAC Player of the Year honors went to Washington & Jefferson College sophomore forward Jordan Toohey (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant). Toohey currently leads the PAC in goals (27) and game-winning goals (9), is third in points (61) and is tied for 10th in assists (7). As of games played through November 8, she was tied for first among all NCAA Division III counterparts in game-winning goals, ranked fourth in total goals, and was sixth in goals per game (1.50), points, and points per game (3.39). She also ranks third among all-time, PAC single-season leaders in goals and is sixth in points scored. Her 27 goals and 61 points also established new single-season records at W&J.

2015 PAC Coach of the Year honors went to 10th-year Thomas More College head coach Jeff Cummings. The award is Cummings’ fourth as Thomas More's women's coach. The eighth-ranked Saints are making their fifth-straight appearance in the Division III Championship after earning the PAC’s automatic qualifying bid by winning their fifth-straight PAC Championship Tournament title. Thomas More posted a 1-0 shutout against the University of Chicago Sunday afternoon in the second round of the NCA Division III Women's Soccer Championship and are advancing to the Championship's sectional semifinals for the third-straight season. 

The 2015 PAC Team Sportsmanship Award was claimed by Grove City College.
