PAC announces all-conference women’s soccer teams

GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its 2014 All-PAC women’s soccer teams and yearly award winners Thursday.

2014 PAC Player of the Year honors went to Thomas More College junior forward Olivia Huber (Woodlawn, Ky./Newport Central Catholic).

Huber, the third Thomas More player to earn PAC Player of the Year honors since the Saints joined the league in 2005, is currently tied for the top spot among NCAA Division III goal scorers with a school-record 36. A three-time All-PAC selection, Huber’s 89 total points lead all Division III counterparts while her 3.87 points per game average ranks third in Division III.  Her 17 assists rank fourth nationally.

2014 PAC Coach of the Year honors went to ninth-year Thomas More College head coach Jeff Cummings. The award is Cummings’ third on the women’s side.

Top-seeded Thomas More (22-1) topped second-seeded Grove City College (9-10-2) 1-0 in the 2014 PAC Women's Soccer Championship Tournament title match on November 8. The championship tournament title is Thomas More's fourth straight, and fifth overall, since 2005. The Saints are appearing in their fifth Division III Women's Soccer Championship.

The 2014 PAC Team Sportsmanship Award was claimed by Grove City.
