GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) announced its 2013 All-PAC Baseball teams, as voted on by each of the league's nine head coaches, Tuesday morning.

Thiel College senior first baseman/pitcher Nick Rossmiller was selected as the 2013 PAC Player of the Year while Washington & Jefferson College junior Eddie Nogay was selected as the 2013 PAC Pitcher of the Year. Rossmiller and Nogay also earned spots on the All-PAC First Team.

Washington & Jefferson's Jeff Mountain was named the 2013 PAC Coach of the Year.

W&J (30-11), winners of last weekend's PAC Championship Baseball Tournament, received the conference’s automatic qualifying spot in the 2013 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship, while Thomas More (29-14), runners up in last weekend’s championship tourney, received a Pool C bid.

Both W&J and Thomas More will be traveling to the Mideast / Terre Haute, Ind. Regional, which is being hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and begin play on Wednesday, May 15. Games will be played at RHIT’s Art Nehf Field.

The all-conference selection is the first of Rossmiller's career. He is the first Thiel player to be voted the league's Player of the Year since Randy Chiquelin in 2002. Rossmiller finished the 2013 season tops in the PAC in batting average (.436) and was second in both slugging percentage (.636) and on-base percentage (.475). He was also one of the league's top pitchers throughout the season, finishing the year 7-4 with a 2.90 earned-run average in 13 starts. He led the league in starts and innings pitched (90.0), was fourth in strikeouts (53) and fifth in earned-run average.

On March 15 Rossmiller tossed the first perfect game in Thiel history as the Tomcats blanked visiting Hiram College 14-0.

Nogay is the second-straight W&J player to win the PAC's Pitcher of the Year award, following David Trushel in 2012. He improved to 10-1 this spring after leading W&J to a 14-3 victory over Saint Vincent College in the opening round of the PAC Baseball Championship Tournament on May 9, becoming the first President in history to earn a double-figure victory total in a single season. Nogay tossed seven innings, allowing two earned runs on eight hits, while striking out three in the win. He carries a 20-1 career record into this week's NCAA Division III Baseball Championship. Nogay was a second team selection in 2012 and an honorable mention pick in 2011.

The Coach of the Year honor is Mountain's fifth since taking over at W&J in 2003. The Presidents are making their fourth national tournament appearance under Mountain. The 11th year head coach posted his 300th career victory with W&J's win over Thomas More last Saturday.
